About the artist…

Maia Luna is a singer-songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area. Taking inspiration from a variety of artists such as Jason Isbell, Julia Jacklin, and Christian Lee Hutson, she creates a unique sound — blending honest, introspective lyricism and warm harmonies with a bit of California sunshine.

A familiar face in the local music scene, Maia can often be found performing all across the Bay Area — from busking at the nearby grocery store to playing gigs + open mics from Berkeley to Pescadero.

Her latest album, “Horizons” begins as a journey into exploring the unknown, the adventures just at the edge of what we can see. Throughout the album, she follows the sun through so many different worlds: some personal and some dreamed-up. The tracklist follows countless stories — from the barren roads of Nevada, to musicians moving west to chase their dreams, to the struggles of a teenage girl who loves too much (okay, maybe that one’s a little personal). Whether you’re in the mood for something upbeat or something more poetic, she writes with a depth and versatility that speaks to every emotion in between.
